MicroLaser/Arctic Peel FAQS
|
|
What is MicroLaser Peel?
It is a minimal to full epidermal laser peel
that precisely removes the outermost
layers of the skin. The procedure is
individually tailored to the nature
of the problem to be corrected:
wrinkles, scars, laxity, keratoses,or
pigmentation problems.
An Institute of Laser Hair Removal and Laser Therapy in Pembroke Pines performs the MicroPeel using a Sciton Laser, currently the most advanced method of skin resurfacing. This advanced Sciton laser skin rejuvenating treatment precisely removes the outer most layer of skin. The removal of the dead layer and the thin layers of the epidermis helps smooth the skin's surface while blending irregular pigmented age spots at the same time. The microlaser peel is a great laser hair service for those who want to reverse the cosmetic effects of aging and want to look as young as ever.

MicroLaser Peels also are more effective than Microdermabrasion and Light Chemical Peels, giving more intense skin care throughout a larger area of skin. These procedures

when the perceived results do not equal
expense and the number of procedures
required. The MicroLaserPeel is a minimal
to full epidermal peel (10-60 microns).

What type of anesthesia is used?
A topical anesthetic such as Ela-max,
Emla or Betacaine Plus is applied thirty

Do I have to wear any type dressing
or bandage after the treatment?
No! An Institute of Laser Hair Removal and Laser Therapy in Pembroke Pines will prescribe an
ointment such as Aquafore or Vaseline.
This is used as a barrier to keep the air
away from your skin while you grow new
epithelium. You will probably use it
for one to two days. After that, a
moisturizer can be used.

How long is the healing process?
The healing process varies from patient
to patient but will generally take from
two to four days. The procedure can be
performed on any day but Thursday or
Friday could be ideal so that you could
return to work the following Monday.
Immediately following the procedure
you will feel as if you have a bad sunburn.
You will have minor sloughing and itchiness
the following day. By day two, redness will
begin to fade and by day three any redness
can be easily covered by makeup.
